BCTC Training Team
Anne Kelly is Course Director. She is chartered as a Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is accredited as a Cognitive Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Francesca Waters is Course Tutor. Francesca graduated the BCTC Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy in 1999 and holds both BACP and BABCP accreditation as a Cognitive Therapist. She is currently working towards chartered status as a Counselling Psychologist.
Rose Anne Donnelly is a BCTC graduate who now acts as Course Coordinator.
Caroline Stewart and Gill Gourley are also BCTC graduates who are currently working towards BABCP accreditation. They act as Course Assistants.
Dr. Ann Hackmann, Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, is a Clinical Psychologist and the BCTC External Examiner. Ann has worked for over 20 years in a research group that specialises in the development of cogntive therapy protocols for the different anxiety disorders. She has also provided teaching and training in cognitive therapy in many national and international settings.
Mrs Mary Campbell is Senior Administrative Officer.
Mrs Patricia Mc Carry is a BABCP accredited Nurse Therapist and former graduate of both BCTC and The Maudsley hospital. Patricia works as a Cognitive Therapist at the Young People's Centre for Children and Adolescents in Belfast, and provides an overview of CT for Children and Adolescents.
Visiting NHS Clinical Psychologists give seminars on subjects such as personality disorders, eating disorders, and psychosis. Another aim of these seminars is to ensure that trainees are aware of these disorders and that they are briefly introduced to the type of client cases which are beyond their competence at this stage.
